5/5/10 Unseen Hero #005
Dwayne McKean
Fellowship Bible Church, Roswell, Georgia
A few years back while under renovation, we were up against a deadline for getting all classrooms available for school. We had done the renovations during the summer and tomorrow was the first day of school. No classrooms had ceilings; the floors were covered in insulation and debris from the sprinkler installation. The school Headmaster and Board were greatly frustrated and threatening to delay school opening, which would be a public relations nightmare for the church. We sprung into action. The sub-contractor began hanging grid, my staff followed with insulation and ceiling tiles. We then cleared all debris from the floors and treated and extracted all carpets. We started at 6:30 pm and finished 19 classrooms by 7:00 the next morning. An "all hands on deck" and all night effort saved the day and a sizeable PR hit for the church.
